We wrote an overpayment check and associated the client's name in the "client name" section of the check, so why does it not show up as a transaction under clients?

Why is there a "client name" section on the check "form" if it is not going to show the check transaction in the client portal?

I recognize the need to see the overpayment check in the client name section of the check, @cheryl106.

Let's ensure you'll be able to find the transaction under the clients by conducting troubleshooting steps in QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA).

To begin with, please double-check that the associate client's name on the created overpayment check is accurate. Also, if you're referring to the client's name section under the Client Overview, please note that it only displays lists for all clients. To view the created check, go to the Customers in the Sales section. However, the check will only appear if the category is under Accounts Receivable.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the left navigation panel and select Sales.
  2. Find the client's name or customer of the check and select it.
  3. Verify if the check is in the Transaction List.
