I'm glad to see you here in the Community space, @needsmorecoffee. You can go to the Transactions menu to export transaction.
When you're going to export transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed, you don't need to select the transactions manually. What you can do is filter out the transactions and then download using a CSV file.
Here's how:
- Go to the Transactions menu.
- Use the Type, Account, and Time period dropdowns to filter out the transactions you're going to export.
- Select the Export icon.
Another way to export transaction info in QuickBooks Self-Employed is to run a financial report.
Here's how:
- Go to the Reports menu.
- Locate the report you want to download.
- Filter the time period or tax year from the dropdown.
- Choose View or Download.
- Select the arrow icon ▼ and then Print or Download.
In case you'd like to make changes or reorganize your transactions, it's best to do it in QuickBooks Self-Employed. If you reimport the CSV, some info, like categories, won't show up correctly. You need to recategorize your transactions after you import.
If you want to make adjustments to your transactions or restructure them, you should do it in QuickBooks Self-Employed. And if some information, such as categories, will not appear correctly if you reimport the CSV, After you import your transactions, you'll need to categorize them.
I'm always here if you need anything else or if you have clarification on managing your transactions. Have a great day ahead!
