Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get your receipt added to your transaction, gabrielle2.
There are times when a browser's cache data becomes full of frequently-accessed pages or damaged. This prevents the page to load properly like adding a new receipt to your transaction.
To check if this is a browser issue or not, we can try accessing QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data.
Just press CTRL + Shift + N for Google Chrome, or click the Settings and More icon in the upper-right hand corner, and then select New In Private window for Microsoft Edge.
If it works, go back to your original browser and clear the browser's cache to delete the temporary Internet files. This will refresh the browser back to its original state. You can also use other supported, up-to-date browser.
For the steps and details, please check out this article: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. The article provided also works for the QBSE version.
