When balancing the bank statimate some lines say deposit and others say received payment?

The reason why you're seeing deposit and receive payment is because the fund associated with these transactions have been placed into the account in two different ways. Allow me to explain the differences. 

• Deposit will appear when you have placed the funds into the account in question using the deposit transaction. There're multiple ways to use a deposit. • Much like the deposit, receive payment will appear when funds have been inserted into the account using a receive payment rather than a deposit. Receive payments are made when you mark an invoice paid for a customer.
