Is the account you're trying to connect a parent and a sub-account? Are they of the same type (i.e. checking or credit card)? Have you tried connecting this type of account before?

I am having this similar problem. I have no problem syncing my Wells Fargo checking and savings accounts, but my Wells Fargo Credit Card is not showing up in the accounts despite seemingly having no problem during the account linking process in Quickbooks. It seems to go fine, but then on the account page the Credit Card is not listed as an account and none of the transactions populate. This doesn't seem to affect other Wells Fargo accounts or accounts from other banking institutions.
Let's work together and fix your banking concern, PlantDaddy.
We can start checking the link used to make sure it's correct and go directly to your bank’s website to copy the URL, then paste it into the Enter your bank name or URL search box. Here are the steps:
We also have to check if there are any system issues at your financial institution. Issues from your bank might be One of the reasons why we can't link it because it can block the connection between your bank and QBO.
In the meantime, we can manually import the bank transactions into QuickBooks Online. You can follow the steps provided in this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online (Step 4: Start your upload).
Additionally, here are some articles that you can read to help manage your online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online:
I'm glad to lend a hand if you need more assistance with banking issues. Have a good one.
I have the same exact issue. All my wells fargo accounts are coming through except one of the master cards. There are 2 master cards on the account and only one does not come through.
When I try to link the account again, wells fargo says it's already linked.
I even tried unchecking the account (after going to Wells fargo "Manage Connected Apps"). Even after that I can re- link the account and it doesn't bring it in. Intuit goes through the entire process with no errors. I'm able to click on link accounts, choose my bank, connect to it and check the account to link. It selects that and shows it is linking, but it doesn't come through.
Both Intuit and Wells Fargo keep sending me to each other and I have no resolution.
Btw, I even tried to link the account after opening Quickbooks online in private window. I tried both firfox and chrome. Keep getting the same issue.
We appreciate your initiative in resolving your bank account connections, @sd2791. I'm here to share some details about the error message you received and help you connect the two accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
The error occurs if the MasterCard is set as a sub-account and the parent account is already connected to online banking since QBO doesn't allow simultaneous connections for both a parent account and its sub-accounts.
For now, please check your bank's website for alerts and notifications since this can also be the reason why QBO is unable to download transactions the transactions
In the meantime, you can manually upload your transactions to record them in QBO. Just ensure to match or categorize them once you've linked your bank.
Moreover, if the issue persists, I recommend contacting our support team. They have the tools to access your account in a secure environment and find the root cause of the issue: QuickBooks Online Support.
Additionally, please ensure to reconcile your accounts to keep them accurate and up-to-date.
Let us know if you have other concerns with your bank connections in QBO. We're here to help you in any way we can.
