Whenever I log out and back into Quickbooks my saved Bookmarks are reset to the default (Bank transactions and Live Bookkeeping). How do I get my bookmarks menu to save?

I'll share some information about  saving the bookmarks. Once you bookmark a page, you should be able to view it when you re-open QuickBooks. You'll want to retrieved your bookmarked page by following these steps.

 

For Google Chrome:

 

  1. Click the 3-dots at the top-right corner.
  2. Select Booksmarks, and then tap Bookmark manager.

 

With the above steps, you should be able to view your saved bookmarks.

Thank you for the reply, but I am referring to the bookmarks in Quickbooks, not browser based ones (image attached).

I'm having the same issue.  Does anyone have an answer as to why bookmarks can be updated and then revert back to the default.  See "capture1" attachment below with before and after Expenses added to the bookmarks.  However, when I logoff and back in it reverts to the default and Expenses are no longer there.

Hello, @jcohen-aethyrtec and @MikeMerk. I’ll join this thread and lend a hand to sort out this issue with bookmarking QuickBooks pages.

 

When we bookmark a page in QuickBooks Online, we can click the Close button on our browser instead of signing out of QuickBooks. Logging it off may revert to its default page when accessing the bookmark. 

 

Moreover, another possible reason is when you clear the cache of your specific browser. It allows us to clean the historical data from the browser that causes discrepancies that affect the view and performance of your QuickBooks.

Just some additional info.  I tried saving / customizing Bookmarks in the left side panel in 3 different browsers, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.  ALL reverted the Bookmarks back to the default setting / view after leaving the app and returning.

Since you already tried saving and customizing the bookmark to the different browsers and the issue persists, I suggest contacting our support team directly. They have the tools to check your account in a safe environment to investigate further. This way, they can help find the root cause of your issue and find a fix.

 

Here's how to reach them:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select the Help (?) menu.
  3. Choose the Assistant tab.
  4. Click the Talk to a human option.

  5. Select Get help from a human.

  6. Click either Chat with us or Have us call you button.
