Where do I go to tick off the transactions from my bank statements? the transactions are not showing up

Good day, kbabg-hotmail-co.

I'll share some information to help you with your concern.

Here are a few possible reasons why you have a difference and transactions are missing in your Reconcile page:

  • Some banks and credit card companies don't post transactions for download until later in the day or the next morning.
  • Some banks will show a transaction on their website but won't download the transaction until it posts.
  • If the missing transactions are the most recent ones, wait at least 24 hours in case your bank doesn't make them available immediately.
  • Transactions are showing up in the For Review page but were not categorized or matched.
  • Transactions were manually reconciled in the register.

Let's try to update your bank in QuickBooks to download the latest data by following these steps:

  1. Go to Transactions or Banking on the left navigation menu.
  2. In the Banking page, select Update.

If you see the missing transactions, let's make sure to review and categorize them, so it shows up in the Reconcile page.

Otherwise, check if the transactions were manually reconciled in the register. This might be the reason why you see a huge difference.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Accounting Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click the View register link of the bank account.
  3. Select the funnel icon and filter it by Reconcile StatusTransaction TypePayee, and Date.
  4. Hit Apply.
  5. Find the transaction and check if you see the letter R under the Reconcile Status (indicated by a check mark) column. This means Reconciled
  6. Edit the transaction if necessary and click Save.

Here's a sample screenshot for a visual reference:

I'm also adding these articles for reference:

Once you have all the transactions, try to reconcile the account again. You can watch a video tutorial in this link: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Please let me know how it goes after trying out the steps. I'd like to make sure this issue is resolved for you. Keep safe!

Where do I go to tick off the transactions from my bank statements? the transactions are not showing up

Hi, @kbabg-hotmail-co.

Thanks for getting back to us and for following the steps shared by my colleague above.

Since you're still having the same issue, let's try signing into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a private browser (incognito). This will help us check if this is a browser-related (cache and cookies) issue.

Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox).
  • Control Option (Safari).

Once logged in, return to the Banking page to double-check if you're able to select the transactions from your bank statements.

If it works, go back to your default browser and perform a clear cache to refresh the system. However, if the issue persists, try using other supported browsers.

I'm also adding this article that will guide on how to process reconciliation in QBO for future reference: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Don't hesitate to leave a comment in this thread if you have any other concerns or questions. I'm always around to help. Have a good one!

Where do I go to tick off the transactions from my bank statements? the transactions are not showing up

I too have been tasked with reconciling the bank account for 2020 and 2021, and am having the problem noted above, with no transactions populating in the reconciliation from June 2020 through October 2020. The transactions were correctly categorized in the banking feed (I did this myself 2 days ago), but are not there now, and are not showing up on the reconciliation page. Please note: Other transactions before and after these dates are there, and I was able to reconcile prior to June 2020. These transactions are also not in the bank register. What could have happened to them? I did try switching browsers to no avail.

Thank you for the detailed information, @bkb08.

Let's find out why the transactions aren't showing on the reconciliation page so you can get back to working order.

It's possible that the transactions were mistakenly excluded or uncategorized that's why there aren't showing on the reconciliation page or in the bank register. To verify, let's go to the Banking menu and review the transactions from there. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu, then select the appropriate bank account.
  2. In the For review tab, find the missing transactions.
  • If you see them there, categorize them back.
  • If the transactions aren't there, go to the Excluded tab and verify. Once confirmed, click Undo and go back to the For review tab to categorize them.

If the transactions still aren't there, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can further check on this matter and provide additional troubleshooting steps to get this fixed.

Once your transactions are showing, you can now proceed with reconciling accounts in QuickBooks Online. This is to ensure your transactions in QuickBooks match your bank statements.

Should you need any additional assistance reconciling accounts, you can leave a comment below. I'll be sure to get back to you, @bkb08.
