Why am I am missing all transactions for November and December of 2023. I have all of them from January through October and then they are showing up since January 2024?

I appreciate you for providing detailed information about your concern, scchiro. I'm here to share some insights into why some of your bank transactions are missing.

It's possible that a disconnection between your bank and QBSE may have happened, which is why you're missing transactions from November and December. In this case, you need to export the transactions from your bank and import them into QuickBooks.

Before doing so, verify which ones are already in QuickBooks to prevent duplicates. Then, you can export the transactions from your bank. Let me guide you on how:

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Follow your bank's instructions for how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer.
  3. Check the date range for the download.
  4. Download your transactions. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like your computer's desktop.

Once you're ready to import, open QuickBooks Self-Employed and follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon and click Imports.
  2. Choose Import older transactions for the account you want to add transactions to.
  3. Select Browse and find the file you downloaded from your bank. It's usually in your Downloads folder.
  4. Follow the onscreen steps to upload the CSV file.
  5. Click Continue to complete the import.

For more details on manually adding entries, refer to this article:

Now that your transactions are in QuickBooks, it's time to match and categorize them. The transactions go into your accounts after you review them.

Let me know if you need additional assistance with your missing bank transactions in QBSE. We'll be here to help you all the way. Keep safe.

Once I put the file it the website said that there were 65 duplicates and that is how many transactions I was trying to import.  So I said I didn’t want to submit those and I went looking for the 65 transactions but still can’t find them.

Good morning, @scchiro-live-com

Thanks for chiming back in and giving us some additional information.

Let's double check two possibilities that could be occurring in the system:

  1. Make sure there are no filters that could be preventing you from seeing transactions from certain dates.
  2. Check the Bank Connections menu to ensure there are no hidden bank feeds.

If these actions from above don't pay a factor in the issue, I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team so they can review your account further.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Have a wonderful day!
