Hello, Emma.
I can help you figure out why your bank transactions went missing in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). To do this, I need to ask you a couple of questions to understand your situation better.
To start with, could you tell me the name of your bank? This way, I can check if there's an ongoing issue on our system. Also, did these transactions go missing after you imported them into your QBSE or are they already in your company file? Any additional information you can provide me will help me give you an accurate resolution.
Missing transactions in QBSE can occur due to delays or interruptions in the bank connection or the program. QuickBooks relies on the data provided by your financial institution. It could also be that your bank is currently undergoing maintenance. To verify this, visit their website.
If these are existing bank transactions inside your account, you'll want to refresh your bank accounts. Here are the steps:
Another possible reason why you can't see them inside your company is that they've already been categorized. Inside your Transactions tab, you'll want to set it to show All types, and then in the Account section, choose your bank. Make sure to filter the Date to ensure that no transactions are overlooked.
If they still don't appear, your browser may be causing the problem. In this case, let's open your QBSE account using a private (incognito) window. This mode doesn't save search histories and can help isolate the issue. Use the following shortcut keys to save time:
Once signed in, check your transactions. If they're there, return to your regular browser and clear its cache. Otherwise, try using another supported browser as an alternative.
Moreover, if you want to learn more on how to categorize the transactions you download from your bank or enter into QuickBooks refer to this article: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
