Why did qb stop bringing in new transactions when updating?

Welcome to the Community, @cypree1. I'm here to help and make sure you can get your recent bank transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

To start, I suggest logging out of your account and logging back in, as it will help refresh the data in your account.

 

Then, you can sign in to your bank’s website to check if there's an issue on their end. Once you're signed in, you'll want to review the following:

 

  1. Check your account for messages, notifications, or alerts.
  2. Look for any display issues as you navigate the website. These can block QuickBooks from downloading new transactions.
  3. Check your bank’s website for any announcements about new security requirements.

 

If everything looks good, go back to QuickBooks and manually download your transactions again:

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu and select the Banking tab.
  2. Click the Update button.

Nonetheless, can you please share the name of your financial institution? This way, we can better check if there are related issues with your bank.

 

In addition, you'll also want to manually upload your bank transactions in the meantime. To upload the file to your account, you'll need to request a .CSV file from your financial institution. Here's a detailed article about this process: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

this is with bank of america, i already cut the connection and re-established it, so far the same. appears many others are having the same issues with qb

I see how relevant it is for you to have your recent bank transactions in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. 

 

As I've checked the reports in our lists, this issue is tagged as an ongoing investigation. Please know that this isn't the kind of experience we want you to have, and rest assured that our engineers are currently investigating the root cause of this issue and researching for a fix.

 

For now, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Online Support to be added to the list of affected users and receive further updates. Here's how:

 

  1. In your QBO account, click Help.
  2. Click the Search tab, and click Contact Us.
  3. Enter the error message in the description box, and select Continue.
  4. Choose Start a chat or Get a callback.

 

You can contact us from Mondays to Fridays, 6 AM to 6 PM PT, and Saturdays 6 AM to 3 PM PT.

Why did qb stop bringing in new transactions when updating?

I am facing the same exact issue. Its been working fine and since last couple of days QB stopped downloading transactions from Bank of America, but connects fine and no error (Bank of America - New  connection)

Many users complained that yesterday in the forum. But now this morning I tried again to see if the issue is fixed, but now I am getting this error when I tried to download from checking account

 

"Looks like we didn't find the right type of account to link.

That sign-in info was correct, but we can only connect certain types of accounts. You can try a different bank. (2106)"

I deactivated bank feed and re-activated it again and still the same issue

Appears to be working after whatever maintenance they did friday morning, Im glad as I was going to switch company's this week if it was not. getting frustrated with quickbooks when it doesnt work, then they want to charge you extra just to be able to contact then for support.
