Why wont my bank register update

Welcome to the Community, Chris. Let's work together to find the underlying issue regarding your bank in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

QBO utilizes account registers to monitor transactions based on their origin. These registers provide a comprehensive history of all transactions and the current balance of the account. Thus, the Bank register contains all the transactions you categorized in your bank feeds.

If your bank feeds are downloading transactions slowly or appear to be stuck, we can perform a manual update to refresh the connection between your bank and QuickBooks Online.

Here's how:

1. Sign into your QuickBooks Online account.

2. On the left panel click on Bookkeeping and then Transactions.

3. Select Bank Transactions and click Update.

Otherwise, we can log in to your bank website to check for alerts or known issues that may cause the following problems.

Furthermore, I recommend referring to this article for a comprehensive guide on how to fix your bank errors in QBO:  What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions.

Additionally, you can set up bank rules to simplify the process of categorizing.

Please let me know if you have additional questions or concerns about your banking in QuickBooks Online. You can reach out to the Community at any time. Take care!

Why wont my bank register update

When I had problems with my bank accounts not updating correctly in QBO, the only thing that would fix it was deleting the bank accounts and setting them up again.
