When your antivirus blocks internet access for specific QuickBooks programs or files, this is often caused by Windows firewalls and security settings. To resolve this, we can download and install the most recent version of QuickBooks Tools Hub. Then, run the QuickBooks File Doctor to check and fix any firewall issues. Here's how:
- Open the tool hub and navigate to Company File Issues.
- Select Run QuickBooks File Doctor. It may take up to one minute for the file doctor to open. If it doesn't open, you can search for QuickBooks Desktop File Doctor and open it manually.
- In QuickBooks File Doctor, select your company file from the dropdown menu. If you don’t see your file, choose Browse and search to locate it.
- Choose Check your file and network, then hit Continue.
- Enter your QuickBooks admin password and click Next.
