how to increase the size of the account balances window on Home page in QuickBooks desktop

A broader view of your account balances can certainly help you keep track of your finances at a glance, Robinrm. I'd like to address your question about making changes to specific areas in QuickBooks.

For now, we're unable to resize specific elements like the account balances box, characters, or font sizes on your Home page.

As a workaround, you can adjust the DPI (Dots Per Inch) settings on your computer. This will enlarge all elements on your screen, including the QuickBooks interface.

However, it's important to note that this change will affect your entire computer system, not just QuickBooks. All applications and text will appear larger.

If you are comfortable with this adjustment, follow these steps to change your DPI settings:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Open the Windows Start menu.
  3. Type "QuickBooks" in the Search field. Then, right-click the QuickBooks icon and select Open file location.
  4. Right-click the QuickBooks.exe file and choose Properties.
  5. Proceed to the Compatibility tab.
  6. Select Disable display scaling on high DPI settings.
  7. You can also click Change high DPI settings and select Override high DPI scaling behavior.
  8. ClickApply and choose OK.

More details about this workaround are provided in this article: Fix screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop.

I also encourage you to provide feedback about the ability to make changes or resize elements on the Home page. Customer suggestions are sent directly to our engineers for review and consideration. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Go to the Help menu and look for Send Feedback Online.
  2. Click Product Suggestion.
  3. Choose the Product Area of your suggestion.
  4. Enter your feature suggestion in the designated fields and complete the form accordingly.
  5. Click Send Feedback.

I don't want to adjust the font size.  I would like the box or window the account balances are in on my home page.to be bigger.

If I have 6 bank accounts, my box is only showing 3.  I can scroll down to see the others, but I would like to see them all.
