I have month end bills from the same 25 1099 contractors to enter every month. I have them saved as recurring transactions; it would save a great deal of time if I could enter them as a batch, as I used to do in QB Desktop. Does this exist in QBO?

Yes, this feature exists in QuickBooks Online, LA. I'm here to help you learn how to utilize this functionality.

 

QuickBooks Online allows you to enter multiple bills all at once. It helps user saves time on data entry. Please note that the Batch transactions feature is only available in Advanced subscriptions.

 

To use the functionality, please ensure you're an Advanced user. Otherwise, I suggest upgrading your account.

 

Once ready, follow the steps below to use the tool to record your bills with multiple contractors:

 

  1. Go to + New and then select Batch transactions.
  2. In the Select transaction type drop-down list, choose Bills.
  3. Click any of the fields on line 1 to start.
  4. Enter the correct info into the fields.
  5. Select the Type field. If you only need to enter flat rates, select Category details. Or, if you need to include specific product or service details on the form, click Item details.
  6. Proceed to line 2 for the other bill.
  7. Enter as many bills as you need as separate lines.
  8. Once done, hit Save.

Additionally, you can run several vendor reports in QBO to give you a snapshot of your business expenses. Then, personalize the data to focus on specific vendors, transactions, and accounts.

Do you pay your bill to the 1099 contractor with Online Payroll or something else?
