What do you mean with "compatible"?

Do you need to convert data from QB Desktop to QB Online, or else?

Where is your company located?

I appreciate your interest in our products, german26. Let me share some information about how QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Enterprise and QuickBooks Online (QBO) work for your business.

QBDT and QBO are two distinct platforms that provide similar features, including banking, inventory management, product and service tracking, and more. However, there are always limitations and differences in their functionalities.

If you'd like to move your QBDT Enterprise data to QBO, ensure that your QBDT is updated and your company file is within the export size limit. Moreover, you can utilize the following versions for optimal results: 2019 R17, 2020 R15, 2021 R10, and 2022 R5.

Since QBDT 2016 is no longer supported, you may save a copy of your filedownload a trial version of QBDT 2019 R17 or higher version to proceed, and restore your file from there. This way, you'll be able to convert your data to QBO successfully.

On the other hand, you might want to review the resources from this material to know more about how your books are moved to QBO: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

If you have follow-up questions while working with your file or if you're referring to something else, let me know by leaving a comment below. I'm just a few clicks away to help you again. Keep safe!
