Join nowHello,
In our previous version of QB Enterprise (22) we would import our sales receipts via IIF file. If there was a new (to QuickBooks) customer with a sales receipt the customer would be created automatically. We have since upgraded to QB Enterprise 24 and we are getting errors when there is a new customer:
[ERROR] The record at (or starting at) this line could not be imported. There was an error when saving a Customers list, element "New Customer INC.". QuickBooks error message: This list has been modified by another user. [3180]
;The record at (or starting at) this line could not be imported. There is an invalid reference to QuickBooks Customer "New Customer INC" in the SalesReceipt. QuickBooks error message: Invalid argument. The specified record does not exist in the list. [3140]
Any help getting this fixed wouod be greatly appriciated!

Run Verify/Rebuild Data utility. Did you encounter any error message?
Let's fix the error message so you can continue with your task in QuickBooks, ron131.
To start we have to make sure to update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release to have the recent features and product improvements.
Then, download and install QuickBooks Tool Hub to fix common errors. To use the Tool Hub, you need to close QuickBooks. For optimal performance, we recommend that you use Tool Hub on Windows 10, 64-bit. Follow these steps:
The hub is a launchpad for the tools you’ll use to fix your issue. Just run the Quick Fix My file or the QuickBooks File Doctor to fix common data issues. If you need more help, select File Dr Help. For more details, open this article: Download and Install the QuickBooks Tool Hub.

Run Verify/Rebuild Data utility. Did you encounter any error message?
We ran the Verify/Rebuild Data utility and that seemed to fix the issue. Took a few days to test as we had to wait for a new customer.
There were two errors found:
verify.c (16278) : CHECKPOINT: 8616: Tue Jun 4 11:27:16 Verify Rebuild: VerifyStuckPaychecks took 86.539800 milliseconds. ErrorFound:1
verify.c (16379) : CHECKPOINT: 8616: Tue Jun 4 11:25:46 Verify Rebuild: Transactions took 142224.218700 milliseconds. ErrorFound:1
Not sure what else I should be looking for in QBWin.log, if there is anything else I should be looking at to make sure the issues is completly resolved please let me know.
Thanks!

Run the Verify/Rebuild Data utility again. If the same error messages persist, consider to purchase a 3rd party file repair service.
