Invoice line items

We have customers with multiple jobs.  We do estimates for each job and then need to invoice the multiple estimates on one estimate but want to see the Job name.  Has anyone had any luck with getting multiple jobs on one invoice where we can see the job name or have an additional column/field by line item where we can specify the job. We cannot use Description because we use that for other things.

In other words, how can I combine 3 estimates from 3 different sub customers into one invoice where each sub customer's name is reflected on each line item of the invoice?

Invoice line items

Thank you for posting here in the Community, @Trogers21. Allow me to go into details as to what could be the best course of action regarding the matter at hand.

Please know that QuickBooks Online (QBO) does not support the combination of three estimates from different sub-customers into one invoice while reflecting each sub-customer's name on the corresponding line of the invoice.

However
, you can consider manually creating these estimates and then converting each to an invoice, assigning a class to each item, as a workaround.

It's important to note that while using a class is useful for tracking, it won't be reflected when the invoice is printed or sent. Therefore, I encourage utilizing the description field, as this will reflect properly when printed or sent.

I recognize the significance of being able to merge estimates into one invoice and display each sub-customer's name on each line.  You can provide direct feedback to our Product Development team so they can consider adding this feature in future updates. Here's how you can do that:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Click on Next to submit feedback.

Our Product Development team will receive and review your suggestion along with the other user's requests.
