QuicKbooks desktop downgrade

I have a client's backup of enterprise and need to restore to desktop pro plus 2024.  Is this possible, if so, how?

Yes, it's possible to restore your client's backup on Desktop Pro Plus 2024, SRossell. However, there's no direct way to do so. Let me share more details below.

Loading a company file from one plan to another may cause data issues, such as data loss. This is why I recommend using a third-party conversion tool to help you convert your file. After conversion, you can then start the restoration process in Pro Plus.

Here's how to restore a file:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. On the top menu, go to File. Then, head to Open or Restore Company.
  3. Restore the file based on its type. If you're using a Windows company file (.qbw)
    1. Click Open a company file, then Next.
    2. Open the appropriate folder, then choose the company file.
    3. Press Open, then enter the password.

I'll also leave this article on managing your account with the Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPs) for future reference: Change, manage or update your Intuit account with CAMPs.

Come back to this thread if you have other concerns about managing company files in QuickBooks, SRossell. I'll be around to assist you further.

@SRossell

You should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA and they can downgrade your file from Enterprise to Pro/Premier/Mac without any data loss.
