Hello,
I did generate 1099 forms for our 14 contractors via quickbooks Contractors section. However in the view summary of 1099 I do see a couple more items at the end. Does quickbooks automatically include 1099-DIV and 1099-INT totals in the 1096 summary form? How does it calculate or pull those totals? I only generated 14 1099 forms but not sure about those 2 totals at the end. Can anyone shed some light? I appreciate your response.
Thanks,

Hi there, @rkoorapati.
Let me provide information on how QuickBooks calculates 1099 payments.
At this time, QuickBooks Online focuses on reporting data for the 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC forms. This means that 1099-DIV and 1099-INT totals aren't included. You can run the 1099 Transaction Detail report to double-check the amount and the correct accounts for the 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC.
Here's how to run the report:
Just a heads up, payments made via credit card, debit card, or third-party systems like PayPal are not factored into the 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC calculations, as the financial institution reports these payments.

Hello,
Sorry if I am not clear. I generated only 14 1099-NEC forms.
But the summary is showing 2 additional amounts apart from those 14 1099-NEC totals. Does quickbooks online has an issue?
I want to understand what are those 2 additional amounts in the summary. Upon research I found that summary is 1096 which also includes 1099-DIV and 1099-INT. I am not sure why quick books online showing those 2 additional totals. If you cannot help, that is okay. Please do not send me other links to read.
Thanks,
Ravi
