This update is horrible. Quickbooks has actually made it more time consuming and frustrating to do basic tasks. I don't want the update, I want the old Quickbooks. Stop changing the layout and work on making it better. You're wasting my time!
Hi there, @eboerner.
I understand how you feel about the latest layout updates in QuickBooks. Let me share information on how we can sort this out.

HA! Your comment is absolutely laughable. No one with the company cares what we, as users, think or want. Otherwise, it would have NEVER been changed. We have all left feedback. For MONTHS!! Did anyone listen to, or even read the feedback? I bet not. Because here we are, struggling with BASIC bookkeeping, because our feedback didn't, and still doesn't matter.
(And NO, this comment of mine does NOT require any response from ANYONE working for QB. Don't bother, as I don't care, nor trust what you have to say).
RE: This update is horrible... You're wasting my time!
That is a very accurate assessment of the recent updates!
RE: I know you're still adjusting to the new preference in managing invoices and estimates in QuickBooks.
You do realize that word salad makes absolutely no sense, right?
You are absolutely correct. I can’t even create an invoice. I can’t see my products. All I can see is numbers and with 2000 products in my inventory how am I supposed to memorize every part number and now they want me to create a new invoice template. I like my template I created years ago it works fantastic. Don’t tell me how to operate my business put it back to the way it was or lose us all cause we were all fixing to bail on you QuickBooks you have some little 20 year old sitting behind a cubicle, thinking, they know what’s best for us and you’re not listening to us because you don’t care therefore, you can lose tens of thousands of customers and millions of dollars because we’re all fixing to leave you
Totally agree! Took me a lot longer to do a simple task! UGH!
the application is garbage
it is not fixable. start over, new name, ne company new investors. ne logo
100% agree. The tech support is worthless. Today I wasn't even able to complete the sales tax payment which I've done the same way for months and they have not idea how to fix it. Actually told me to try another computer! (which also had the exact same error) They're wasting time with these stupid upgrades to "modern view" No one wants that! All any accountant wants is for the product to work the same way consistently every single time and stop advertising to me!!! F*#! off with your stupid unnecessary time consuming pop ups. I don't have time to waste closing your ridiculous windows. Now they own the data and no one can even view their data in a normal quickbooks view unless they pay for QB online forever or pay to have a QB desktop subscription forever!!! Shame on you quickbooks. I hope someone else makes a better software and quickbooks goes out of business.
There are a few other companies out there. It's just a matter of most QB users switching over, or their accountants allowing them to switch to something else.
Now they own the data and no one can even view their data in a normal quickbooks view unless they pay for QB online forever or pay to have a QB desktop subscription forever!
You can use the trial version of QB Desktop to access your historical data for good.
I hadn't thought of that! Are you able to export reports to pdf / excel even after the trial expires?
AGREED! Intuit has become much too aggressive with their Desktop version updates. They continue to slow me down... Almost every time I use it there's another update that I'm forced to install even though I've turned off updates... Classic way to anger your customers!!!!!! Will never go with their web version and will certainly be looking for another application soon! The last update crashed our server and it of course it happened on payroll day!
