I would like my customer to be able to accept an estimate.
- The "check out new experience" link appeared on my estimate. When I clicked it, the new layout would appear for one second and disappear.
- I tried using MS Edge, and I had same issue.
- As of now, the "check out" link has disappeared entirely.
- The PDF estimate includes an "Accepted by" field and date. How does that work?
- My estimates appear as text-only emails -- pretty tacky for this day and age.
Thanks, Bruce
Hello, Bruce.
I understand your challenges with the "check out new experience" link appearing and disappearing. I'll address each of your points to help you understand and resolve the issues.
The link should allow you to preview the new estimate layout. If it's disappearing quickly, it could be due to outdated or corrupt cache files in your web browser. These files are stored to help websites load faster when you revisit them. Clearing them should help address the issue.
First, let's try accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:
If it works, you may have accumulated too much historical data in your browser. I recommend clearing its cache so you can access QuickBooks with a clean slate.
If you continue to experience the same thing, there's no need to worry. As we continue to roll out this feature, some users might experience temporary glitches. Rest assured, you will have the opportunity to migrate to the new experience eventually.
Regarding the Accepted by field in the PDF estimate:
If your estimates appear as text-only emails, you are likely still using the old experience. Once you're migrated to the new experience, your customers will have the Review and Approve option (see screenshot below) directly from the email they receive. The new experience provides a more professional and interactive way to handle estimates.
After a customer accepts your estimate, you can convert that estimate directly into an invoice.
If you have any further questions or encounter any other concerns, please don't hesitate to let us know. We're here to assist you throughout the transition to the new experience. Thank you for being a valued QuickBooks user. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work on improving our services.
Thanks for offering solutions -- nothing worked. Please forward to the developers to make this feature available to all paying customers.
Thanks,
Bruce
