While chatting with a QBO support agent recently, they made mention of a QBO app called Mamba which is supposed to be geared towards power users and accountants. I was able to confirm with them that it's a third-party app. I'm interested to know if anyone has experience using this app and whether they'd recommend using it.
Hi there, @D_Weavers.
I can share with you some information about integrating apps with QuickBooks Online.
QuickBooks supports multiple third-party applications, and they are available on the apps store. With the Mamba app, I recommend verifying the application from the Mamba provider. This way, they can confirm its features and if it's compatible with QuickBooks.
For the time being, I recommend looking for supported apps through this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/.
If you have any other QuickBooks questions, please let me know by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help. Have a great day!
Can you share the link of it?
QB Support was unable to provide a link for it, and I was also unable to locate it with a Google search. So, it seems to be a rather obscure app, and that's why I posted here to see if anyone is familiar with it.
What is it for? We may recommend another similar app to let your explore.
It's supposed to be a QBO app with more advanced features than the standard QBO desktop app, but I've never used it so I don't know what all the differences are. If someone knows where to get the Mamba app from, I'd be very interested to know about it.
Ask your clients if they would mind if some unknown app connected to the QBO file you record all their financial information in, and payroll too, if you do it? If they say they don't mind the risk, or your disclosure of such sensitive information, then sure go ahead and enable the appl.
For me, windows defender stopped the access. QBO is insane allow so many connections without approvals.
"Mamba" is not a third party, but part of QuickBooks. It's an official app. You can find it here:
