QBO setup costs

What do ProAdvisors generally charge for QBO company file setup?  I know this is a wide ranging question...I'm trying to get some firm prices for new clients, as opposed to just a general idea of what I'm going to charge.

QBO setup costs

You are correct there is no set fee.  Depends on the file, how much data you are bringing in.  I generally provide a discount if the client signs up for ongoing services for 12 mos.  So I discount the set up.

I have set up files for as little as $125.00 and some upwards of $500.+(if there are complex issues like a large list of inventory that needs to be set up. Or if the client has a large list of a/r or a/p in their opening entry.  I usually discount like $50.00, if the client signs up with me for ongoing service.

Setting up a qbo file is very easy.  Especially if you import the customer, vendors, etc. into the file.  What is not so easy is that opening entry.

This service is invaluable to a client that is not versed in accounting.  Paying for it is sometimes worth every penny.

You can do the above and provide training at an additional fee too.  We do that a my firm and include ongoing help throughout the year as a service.

I will be doing a webinar in mid January to show the steps on importing lists into QBO file. This can be a very tricky thing to do (which I am sure you already know).  I’ll add the link for you (once I have it is set up) if you would like to join in.  It will be a free webinar.
