Does Shipping manager work for OB Enterprise Multi-User Desktop Version?
If so, how do I enable it?
Good evening, @leigh18.
It's great to see you back in the Community. I can answer your question about if our Shipping Manager feature is available in your QuickBooks Desktop product.
Since you use the multi-user setup, this feature isn't currently supported through your account.
Review this guide for other details about the Shipping Manager option: Intuit QuickBooks Shipping Manager.
I hope this helps answer your question. Feel free to come back if you have any other issues. Wishing you and your business continued success!
Thanks Candace. We recently paid to upgrade to Enterprise Solutions to utilize the Credit Card Processing and Shipping features. Apparently, in all of the conversations, the person I was speaking with failed to realize we are Multi-User, so now QuickBooks will not work for our business needs.
Consider downgrading back to QBD Premier (to save your cost) and having a shipping management app to integrate with it. Otherwise, time to switch to another accounting system. We may recommend one to explore.
Thanks for reaching out. Even if I downgrade back to QB Premier, if shipping manager won't work for multi-users, QB will no longer work for us. Like you said, time to explore other options.
Hey Candace,
I was hoping to get a little clarification on multi-user setup. Is a potential workaround to have the user switch to single-user mode utilize the service? Or is it not possible to us Shipping Manager at all?
Thanks!
Joining the conversation to quickly answer your question, Quez.
As you may have read in the previous responses, the shipping manager is currently not supported in a multi-user setting. It means that you will not be able to use the feature when multiple users are logged in to the company file.
You'll need to switch to a single-user mode to be able to process shipments. Just go to the File menu and select Switch to Single User Mode.

Jeno - So an ecommerce merchant, like us, with 100+ shipments a day, and multiple people/users needing to ship/print labels, all day, on different computers, at the same time - how are we supposed to do all this if only one user is able to use Shipping Manager at a time?
I can see that every business has a definite need, Pipon.
I understand the convenience of seamlessly processing company shipments directly from your QuickBooks Desktop account. As of now, the shipping manager feature is still unavailable when using the Multi-user setup in your file.
In the meantime, I recommend sending this relevant feature request to our product engineers to ensure consistent progress of shipment productions in your company. This way, they'll consider this idea and will include them in future product updates.
To be updated with our latest news and updates, including product improvements, I'd suggest visiting the What's New section on your QBDT account or opening this link to view our product update blogs.
Moreover, I'll include this reference to guide you further when utilizing features in different user modes: Features available and tasks you can perform in single or multi-user mode in QuickBooks Desktop.
