Need help in fixing the following error while opening the QBW file in QB Accountant 23.0 (desktop):
"You have exceeded the maximum number of users who can access the company at one time"
We have license for 2 users and at one time, only one user can login and work on the company file.
If user1 logs, then user2 gets the error message;
If user2 logs, then user1 gets the error message;
I tried the following but no luck:
-switching to the multi;
-rebuidling;
-repairing;
-syncing data online;
-restarting the workstations;
-restarting the QB services;
So please help.

If the number of licensed users is correct, you're on the right track to close the workstations. If closing the program doesn't free up the licenses, reboot all workstations. If rebooting all workstations doesn't fix the issue, proceed to Solution 3. Clear the contents of the Entitlement Data folder outlined in this article: You have exceeded the maximum number of users who can access the company at one time. You can continue to steps 4, 5, and 6 if the error remains.
