If you're using the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile application, please note that filing 1099 is only available when we're using the web browser. With that, we have logged into your QBO account via a supported browser. Then, we can begin filing the Form 1099.

However, if you're filing using a web browser, yet you were unable to select accounts, we can perform some basic troubleshooting steps. We can open your QBO account on an incognito window. You can refer to the following keyboard shortcuts based on your browser type:
If the private browsing session is successful, delete the browser's cache to restart the system. This can be done in other supported and up-to-date browsers. Clearing the cache will reset the system, allowing you to start with a clean slate.

I appreciate the detailed response. However, I am using QB from my desktop, and the
Add / Edit accounts and sub-accounts section is still not working for me. The 'Add' button is greyed out.
