2024 AL Overtime State Withholding exemption setup in quickbooks reduces the state withholding for regular payroll

Looks like we need a correction to the new 2024 AL Overtime State Withholding exemption setup in quickbooks as it is reducing the state withholding for regular payroll instead of just not deducting state withholding on overtime. It is not intended to reduce the State Withholding for regular payroll $$ per State of Alabama Dept of Labor. You should have regular withholding as usual but no additional for the Overtime pay.

Nope, I haven't seen a change yet. Quickbooks Payroll still reduces the actual state withholding, for the 40 hours, by the amount that should show up in it's line item known as Alabama Overtime Withholdiing Exemption. The fellow that I had allowed on the computer with me, so I could show him what exactly is going wrong, suggested that for now...... I should manually override the incorrect state withholding as a work around until it can be corrected. Still looking for the correction.

Please don't make us keep using a work around until...

PS the Discovery Hub is still on my desktop, still popping open requiring me to click "Maybe later"

2024 AL Overtime State Withholding exemption setup in quickbooks reduces the state withholding for regular payroll

I have spent 6 hours on a chat with QB Intuit today.  They say I have everything set up correctly for the AL OT Exemption.  However, the withholding taxes have been figured on the gross wages including the OT.  It is not showing any reduction in the OT taxes.  All they did was refer me to the Alabama Withholding website to learn more.  I know what I am doing.  The Alabama Withholding taxes on each paycheck should be reduced because of the OT hours worked but that is not happening.  I am so very frustrated especially since I have received no help at all. If anyone can help, please let me know.
