Can I generate w2 forms if my account its cancel?

W-2s and other tax forms are no longer available once a payroll subscription is cancelled, tmgframing.

You might want to temporarily reactivate your account for a month just to access and file tax forms. Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon and look for Account and Settings.
2. Go to the Billing tab and look for Payroll.
3. Click Edit Billing Info, then click Resubscribe.

Alternatively, you can purchase a pre-printed W-2 copies from any retail stores. Then, manually write the amounts from payroll reports in QuickBooks Online. Just make sure to type all entries using black ink and, if possible, in a 12-point Courier font.

You'll be glad to know that you can always re-subscribe to payroll anytime. We preserve your company data for 365 days after the cancelation date. If you re-subscribe within that time, your data will still be available.

After you have returned to your payroll service, you may need to run through payroll setup again. You might also need to review your payroll data, including employees and tax setup.
