Can i print 2 part w2s?

I'll gladly share some insights about printing Form W-2s and guide you on how to do this in QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP), so you can file one accordingly.

For the time being, the option to print 2-part W-2s is unavailable in QBOP. You can only print one on plain, 3-part, or 4-part perforated paper. In case you wish to update your Form W-2 printing setup, go to the Gear icon, select Payroll settings, and then open the From W-2 printing section. Please see the screenshot below for your reference.

Please note that printing your W-2s depends on if you chose to have us pay and file your federal and state payroll taxes for you or if you want to pay and file them yourself.

If you have the Automate taxes and forms option on (we pay and file for you), you can print your current year or 1 year prior Form W-2s by following these steps:

1. Select Taxes, then Payroll Tax.
2. Go to Filings. From there, you can select to print both employer and employee copies of your W-2s and W-3. Select View on any of the following: W-2, Copies A & D (employer), Transmittal of Wage and Tax Statements (W-3), and W-2, Copies B, C & 2 (employee)
3. If you're printing employee copies, you'll see employees who want a paper copy and those who want paperless. Those who want paperless won't be selected and won't get a printed copy. Select View.
4. You may see a question asking if you or your employees contributed to a retirement plan outside of QuickBooks Online. Select yes or no, then follow steps 1 - 3 to get back to your W-2 or W-3 form.
5. Select the print icon on the Adobe Reader toolbar. Then select Print again.

This is to QBooks online. Please make it where we can use W-2 two part forms. Also, don't charge us more for your forms. We already spend money for Quick Books.

so i’m trying to print w2. ordered two part forms like i always do. and cant print them.   am i not going to be able to do that? i’m lost.  i’ve lost two different people on the calls and 3 on chat.  so frustrsted

So what you are saying is this software that we pay thousands of dollars for can't print one of the most commonly available W-2 formats out there? You have got to be kidding me. I guess I'll just throw out the forms I ordered even though they are the exact same style I used last year with Quickbooks desktop with no issues. This forced "upgrade" to Quickbooks online has been one of the biggest headaches my business has ever experienced. 

i was able to print mine on plain paper and rifle thru quickbooks.  supposedly no W3 is needed.  i’m not sure.  i hope what i did works.   i called customer service.    same with 1099s. didn’t need those forms either-filed online thru quickbooks.   it’s been a hUGE headache! i feel ya.
