Can someone direct me to the switch view button?

I’m glad to see you in the Community, jtrout7.

Switching from the Business View to the Accounting View or vice versa is quick and easy. Let’s configure the company settings to accomplish this task. I’m here to help make sure you can do this with just a few clicks.

  1. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), tap the Gear icon in the upper right.
  2. Under the Profile section, scroll down to the bottom and click the Switch to Accountant view link.user view.png

For more insights into this process, tap here to view the article. It provides detailed information on the type of data you’ll see for each view.

You can also bookmark this link for future reference. It contains resources that will guide you on how to perform any accounting tasks, run payroll, manage your bank feeds, etc: Self-help articles.

Feel free to leave a comment below if you have additional questions about changing the user view in QBO. I’m more than happy to answer them for you. Have a great weekend ahead.

I'll continue to help you switch back to Business view, gilbfambusiness.

Missing icons is sometimes caused by random browser issues. We can do some browser troubleshooting steps to check this out.

To start, you'll want to sign in to QuickBooks using a private browser. This step disables its extensions and stops the cache from saving your browsing history.

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • MS Edge and Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If you see the Settings icon now, you can go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. If not, please try other browsers and see if we get the same thing. If it's the same, please contact our QBO Support to check this further using more tools.

Please feel free to comment if you need more help. Take care and have a  good one!
