You're correct, Jacq. QuickBooks doesn't allow negative hours to be entered for payroll adjustments.
With that said, I highly recommend reaching out to our Live Support team for assistance in correcting the amount of the check. They can guide you through the process to ensure your payroll records remain accurate.
- Go to the Help ? icon.
- Click the Search tab, then Contact Us.
- Enter a brief description of your concern.
- Hit Continue.
- Select how you would like to connect with us.
At the same time, I suggest reaching out to your employee to discuss and come to an internal agreement, such as giving the remaining amount outside of the system.
