Cannot edit paid from account on paychecks

We had to open a new checking account due to fraud a few months ago.  When we did, I opened a new account in QBO for the new checking account.  I just realized that all of my paychecks from the past few months were still being paid from our old checking account in QBO.  When I attempt to edit the paychecks, the only field I can edit is the check number.  It seems I am unable to change the paid from account.  Is there any way around this?

Hi mwte,

 

Currently, you're unable to change the paid account for your payroll if you're using a direct deposit. I'll make sure to pass this along to our product team to let them know of your business need.

 

As a workaround, create a journal entry to transfer the balance incurred from your payroll. Please check this article for more information adjusting journal entry: Make And View Adjusting Journal Entries.

 

However, if this is only a paper check, you can delete the paycheck, update the bank account and then recreate the paycheck.
