We run certified payroll for specific jobs weekly, but I need to run a full certified payroll for all of our jobs/items (ie, everything we pay any of our employees for will appear on the certified payroll). Any idea how to do this? The "Certified Payroll Report Interview" prompt says to choose "all jobs" under the job selection menu, but we do not have the option. I am assuming we have to create it somehow in Quickbooks, but I cannot find any instruction as to how. (We have the Premier Contractor Edition, if that is needful information.)
Hello KatAdmin,
When you run the Certified Payroll Report, you should have an option to pull up data from the jobs you've associated with payroll. We'll review your data to determine whether it is damaged or not.
Before we do anything else, I'd recommend updating the release version of QuickBooks Desktop. This would fix minor issues we're encountering. After that, we can do the Verify and Rebuild process. This will fix any data issues on your company file.
If the same thing happens, you can contact our Customer Care Team about this. They can help you review your company file and provide additional steps to fix it.
Let me know how this goes so we can assist you more about it.
The All Jobs option appears when you have a Customer with more than one Job in your payroll for the date chosen.
It appears so you can run a report for all of the Jobs for the customer, assuming they are really all part of one Certified Payroll.
There isn't an option to create a Certified Payroll report for your entire payroll (I suppose since that's not how certified payroll works.)
- Updating QuickBooks will not update the report.
- Verify and Rebuild will not update the report.
- Contacting support will not update the report.
The OP's description of the report is exactly how it works.
This is rather basic.
