CHANGING Past Payroll Bank Account

I noticed that my payroll account was set to In Kind Clearing and is not being reflecting from my business checking. Can someone tell me how to go back and change the accounts where my payroll was pulled from so my balances can be correct?

CHANGING Past Payroll Bank Account

Hello there, @Allisha-Jones.

I know how important assign your payroll transactions  to the correct account register in QuickBooks.

You'll need to set up your bank account in your chart of accounts (if you haven't create yet). Once done, change your bank account with the payroll service.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Payroll Settings.
  3. Look for the section titled Bank Accounts.
  4. In the section titled Bank Accounts, select Edit.
  5. Click Update. Then, select Add new bank account.
  6. If you bank with one of the 8 banks listed, select the bank and enter your online banking user ID and password. Otherwise, search your bank name or select Enter bank info manually.
  7. Enter your routing and account number.
  8. Hit Save. Once done, click Accept and Submit.

If you're unable to change your bank account in QuickBooks Online, please contact our Payroll Team Support so you'll get through with this concern easily. Please utilize the Help icon within your QBO account and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

For additional information, you can check the links below:

Also, if you want to run payroll reports in the system. You can pull up a specific one that helps you get the information about your business and employees or any details your need.
