Hi there, @howiefish.
Thanks for reaching out in the QuickBooks Community. Let me share with you some troubleshooting steps so you can pay your taxes electronically in QuickBooks.
Did you do any recent updates in your bank account? Once you edit your banking info, you'll have to deactivate it first. Then, reactivate it so that the changes would reflect in QuickBooks.
If not, you can still check your E-Services status to verify the cause of this error message. You can reach out to Payroll Support Team so they can take a look into your account. Here's how:
Option 1
Option 2
If your e-services enrollment was suspended, it's likely because your test transaction to your bank account can't complete. You can follow the steps in this article to resolve the issue: How to resolve an e-services enrollment suspension.
I'm still here if you have other questions regarding your payroll service. Just post your questions here, I'll respond as soon as possible.
I know how to get help. If you look at my data and Im sure you track it, I was on the phone for HOURS last week and no one had the knowledge to help me. The people who answer the phone try, but all they have the ability to do is text email or whatever you use someone else and thru this communication nothing was solved. All Ive asked is to be able to speak with the actual support people that I used to be able to. Everyone I spoke with claimed they did not have the ability or authority to do so
Never thought I would say this but I have am actively looking at other products for my companies, Not something I want to do, but I literally have simple problems that cant be fixed by a company that does not seem to care
I received the same message. I am in Maryland and have been using and paying my payroll taxes electronically via Quickbooks for 3 years. I have not been able to get any support to resolve the problem.
I know this hasn't been easy for you, KMELC.
I'll be happy to give further information on how to fix this so you can start paying your payroll taxes electronically again.
An update on your bank account or missing information can sometimes produce the error message you've seen.
In addition, Maryland has established a new Third Party Administrator (TPA) approach for the state. You'll need to authorize Intuit as your payroll agent to initiate payments and filings online again. Please see this article for more detailed information: Authorize Intuit as your Maryland unemployment Third Party Agent.
I've also included this resource to help you update your business information for future reference: Update your business info in online payroll.
Let me know if you need further help with electronic services in QBO. We're always here to assist you.
