To clarify, once you moved from Desktop to Online, did you check if your employees are fully set up for their state taxes? For example, you'll want to ensure the employee has a state account number. 

 

Here are some steps to check/add a state account number:

 

  1. Select the Gear Icon, then Payroll Settings.
  2. In the [State] tax section, hit Edit.
  3. Enter the info applicable to the taxes you are required to pay.
    • If you need to apply for a state account number, select Get your account number. Find out more.

 

Depending on your payroll service, you may need to sign authorization forms so our team can pay your state taxes and file your forms. You’ll see a To Do in your Payroll Overview to e-sign the authorization forms.

 

If this information is filled out, and your employee isn't missing any details from their employee profile, I recommend contacting our Payroll Team. This way, one of our agents can review your account in a secure environment and investigate this matter further.

Our payroll information did not integrate completely either. Three months since we moved to QB Payroll Online, countless hours on the phone and chat and they still have not resolved the issues. Our 1st quarter state taxes were calculated incorrectly, now we are heading into reporting for 2nd quarter and are already seeing they are still calculating incorrectly. We've reviewed over and over and continue to be told "the back end of the team is working on it" with no timeframe for a fix.

Since this is a public forum and we do not have visibility to pull up account information, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Support again. They have the necessary tools to access your account securely and provide an update. You can use your previous ticket or case ID, so you do not have to start from scratch.
