Direct Deposit - Jimmy Carter

Was wondering if anybody knows if direct deposit will be affected this week since some banks are closing on Thursday (Jan. 9, 2025) for the mourning of Jimmy Carter and I send over our direct deposits on Wednesday since our pay day is Friday. Thanks in advance!

Direct Deposit - Jimmy Carter

Hi there, Cynthia. I'll provide clarification if direct deposits are affected this week, and let's ensure your employees receive their paychecks on the correct date.

QuickBooks will still process your direct deposit this week. However, the timing of the funds posting to your employee's bank account may vary depending on your financial institution.

Since Thursday, January 9, is a day of remembrance for the late president, some banks will be closed while others may remain open. That said, I suggest contacting your financial institution to confirm their hours. If they are closed on that specific day, I recommend sending your direct deposit before Wednesday to ensure timely processing.

Moreover, here are some resources you can check out as a guide to managing payroll and employees:

I'm always here to assist you if you have more questions about direct deposits or need extra guidance on handling payroll. It's also a good idea to get in touch with your bank, as they can be crucial in ensuring the smooth processing of your funds.

@ShyMae   Just FYI, Jan 9th is NOT a holiday.  It is the day of a past presidents funeral. SOME banks will be closed. Others will not. Mine, for instance WILL be open.

@cynthiarojas25  You can call your bank and find out if they will be open or not.  Obviously if they will not be open, you can make arrangements accordingly.
