Hi there, @LizMire,
When processing the direct deposit, you'll have to ensure that your payroll should be processed and sent before 5 p.m., Pacific Time, two federal banking days before your paycheck date.
Additionally, if payroll is submitted on a non-banking day, your direct deposit will be drawn from your account the next banking day. Also, banks often close on state holidays. Make sure to double-check with your bank for any state holidays they follow.
I also suggest reading this article to learn how to make sure your employees get paid on time when there’s a holiday: How Do Federal Holidays Affect my Direct Deposit?
In this case, it would be best to contact our Payroll Support Team to verify the status of the transaction. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and assist you with this one. Here's how to reach them:
- Click the Help icon on the top menu.
- Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
- Tap Contact us.
- Select Search for something else and enter your concern in the Tell us more about your question: field.
- Tap Search.
- Choose Start a Message or Get Phone Number to connect with our support.
Visit our QuickBooks Payroll page for more insights about managing your payroll in your software.
I'll be right here to continue helping if you have any other concerns or questions about QuickBooks. Assistance is just a post away. You have a good one.
