Question about how many direct deposits can I make in a month
I have Quickbooks online and Payrool Core, do I pay my employees weekly, is there a direct deposit fee or is it only charged $5 per employee a month?
Hello there, glad to see you here in the Community. Allow me to share some information on how direct deposit works in QuickBooks Online.
Limits for direct deposits are set per person and per payroll. Per payroll refers to the total amount of direct deposits for all of your workers or contractors that were made within a 6-day period (including weekends) following the date that the payroll was submitted.
Per person refers to the amount paid by direct deposit to one employee or contractor over the course of a 6-day period (including weekends) starting on the day that the payroll was submitted.
Let's find out what your DD limits are by navigating to the Settings page. Here's how:
That should show you the limits per payroll and per person.
If ever you're beyond the limit, you have the option to request a DD limit increase.
Furthermore, whether you pay your employees through DD or not, you'll be charged per employee per month in addition to your subscription fee. Check out our webpage to see the pricing details depending on your payroll service: Payroll Services for Small Businesses.

Hi, thanks for your feedback! my question is how many times can i make direct deposits per employee per month without paying additional fee.
For example, in the payroll core plan, is $5 per employee charged regardless of the number of direct deposits per employee?
Jumping in to provide the information that you need, 9130 3557 8008 2246.
You can make direct deposit paychecks for an employee as many as you want in a month. The $5 fee is fixed, hence you won't get an additional charge for this.
If your employee has two bank accounts, QuickBooks also allows you to set them up. That way, you can split their payments. Simply choose the Direct deposit to two accounts option from their profile.
I've outlined the steps below in case you need it.
