Join nowThis has happened with two desktop clients this month ... we process payroll, as usual, then receive an email from [email address removed] stating that "Intuit has completed your request to cancel your Payroll service" when no one has cancelled anything. Is this a scam?? If it's not a scam, why are we receiving this email when no one cancelled?

Login to their CAMPS and check their license information. Chances are your client has contacted Support and they know their Primary Contact email address. Then someone uses that email address to try to scam your clients.
Here's the kicker, the email address these "cancel payroll services" are coming from are the same as the email address my payroll direct deposit receipts come from ... the handle is @payrollservices.intuit.com. I've checked the spelling and everything on both emails, they are the same. The clients don't do anything with Intuit on their own, they always come through us, so I know it wasn't them; plus they've both said they don't know anything about it.

The email is sent directly from Intuit. The exact same email address as the one that sends the payroll confirmations. NO - I really don't want to call. I hate calling Intuit!!! This needs to be corrected by INTUIT.
