Employee Deduction

Due to some internal error, we deducted extra amount  for Employee Advance from his payroll.. His advance was 11,000 and we deducted around 13,500 from his payroll and now we found that error and want to refund 2,500 back to him through  payroll. Can someone tell me please how are I do in Intuit online payroll. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for sharing the details with me, @sam i am 101.

 

You'll want to reimburse your employee to refund the over deduction. Before doing so, let's add a reimbursement pay type. I'd be glad to guide you how.

 

In your Intuit Online Payroll account:

  1. Go to the Employees tab.
  2. Select the employee name.
  3. In the Pay section, click Edit.
  4. Under Additional pay, select the Reimbursement checkbox.
  5. Click Edit and enter a recurring amount or give the pay type a unique name.
  6. Once done, simply click Save.
  7. Then, create a paycheck using the created Reimbursement pay type.
