employee direct deposit info

i know there was an issue with the 4-30 payroll and i went into the online portal and when i go to my paycheck preferences i show an error on my bank account info for my direct deposit. i had a couple other employees also look at their and they have the same error. is anybody else noticing this error and should i be concerned my next direct deposit won't go through?

An error like what you encounter requires further investigation to the direct deposit account. Since we have limited tools in this public space, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team.


Here's how:


  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Click the Help tab at the top menu bar.
  3. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  4. Choose Contact us.


In case you're using the Online version, please follow these steps:


  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks account.
  2. Click the Help option in the upper-right corner.
  3. Select Get help from a human.
  4. Choose Chat with us or Have us call you

so do you know based off the error if it will cause an issue with direct deposits on the next payroll?

i really just need to know if this error is going to cause an issue. if not then i'm not too concerned with it but being the issue on the 4-30 payroll and now seeing an error on more than one person's direct deposit it's concerning to me.

The error that you're getting may have been caused by the payroll issue that you have experienced last April 30. You'll want to make sure to update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release and ensure you have the latest payroll updates.


If you're still getting the error, I recommend contacting our support team by following the steps provided by  AlcaeusF so they can double-check your account. They also have the capability to trace if this is caused by the payroll outage or if other users are also getting this error. This is to make sure that you'll not be getting issues with your next payroll.
