Error Code 30154

Hello!

 

I spend many hours last year with quickbooks support trying to resolve this issue. Everybody had a different idea on how to fix it and no matter how many different solutions I tried nothing worked. So I am hoping after a year of dealing with this somebody has figured it out. 

 

Error Code 30154 - EIN already has service active other than DIY

 

This error is occurring when I try to activate Quickbooks Workforce. Once I click on "turn on" it asks for my PIN. The PIN goes through just fine but then I get the error. 

 

All I want is for my client's employees to have access to the online portal to view they paystub. However, this client came to me from another firm. The other firm also had them setup with the portal for employees. I believe this error is occurring because the other firm is still "registered" with the online portal and thus not letting me activate my own for the clients employees. 

 

No matter which forms I have filed out and submitted or after all the chat/phone support I have been through I still cannot get this to work. 

 

Does anyone know how to fix this??

I agree with your opinion. I also suggest using another email if possible for that employee. However, if you get the same result or have problems setting up, I'd recommend contacting our Workforce Support to provide further explanation. They are the ones who have access to your accounts.

Error Code 30154

I too am having issues with Workforce.  I have always had these clients and yet I cannot get them added to Workforce.  I continue to get the Error 30154 DIY error.  I cannot be competitive with payroll services in my area if I cannot offer the same remote access to their employees checkstubs and W2 information.  QuickBooks needs to find the fix for this issue and fast.

Error Code 30154

Inviting the employee is not the issue.  We cannot get past the point of turning on Workforce because we get the Error code which stops us in our tracks.  I have other clients and files it has worked on.  However, there are seven that will NOT work.  What is the fix for error 30154!!!

Since you can't access the workforce because of the error code you received, I recommend reaching our Desktop Payroll Support team to review your account and help you find the best resolution to fix this. They have the right tools to check your account securely for possible causes of this issue and investigate this matter to help you further. You can follow the steps below to contact us:

 

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Provide a brief description of the issue, then click Continue.
  5. Sign in to your Intuit account, select Continue, and Continue with my account.
  6. Enter the single-use code that will be sent to your email, then click Continue.
  7. Select to chat with us or Have us call you.

 

Furthermore, you can email your employee's pay stubs through their emails, so they can still view it aside from the workforce. 

 

You can also invite them once you're able to access the program without receiving an error to let your employees access their pay stubs and W-2 forms.
