We recently change the platform, @darhaleah.

You’ll have to reinvite your employees so they can access the new QuickBooks Workforce Portal. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Employees menu and click Manage Payroll Cloud Services.
  2. Under QuickBooks Workforce, toggle the status to ON, then select Invite Employees.
  3. Select the employees you need to give access to.
  4. Click Send Invite.

To accept your invite, your employees can refer to this article on how to set up and use QuickBooks Workforce: View your paychecks and W-2s online in QuickBooks Workforce.

Also, please refer to this link for further information about the sending invite: Set up QuickBooks Workforce for your QuickBooks Desktop.

To learn more about organizing the QuickBooks account, you can refer to this self-help articles as your future references.

I had the same problem and went in just like you said.  It is not letting me invite anyone.  I am unable to even click on an employee.

Hi jennie12,

Right now, we are receiving reports that employees are running into the error message when logging in to QuickBooks Workforce. Our product engineers are working on a permanent fix.

Since you're unable to invite or click on the employee's profile in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you might want to access your account through an incognito window. This is to determine whether this issue is browser-related.

To open a private browser, refer to these shortcut keys:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + P for Internet Explorer or Firefox.
  • Press Ctrl Shift N for Chrome.
  • Hold down Command Shift N for Safari.

Then, follow the steps above to re-invite your employee.

You'll also want to switch to another browser if the issue persists.

If you're able to invite an employee, then I recommend clearing the cache of your regular browser. Then, let's make sure to close the browser for the changes to take effect.

Then, let your employees follow these workaround steps to access QuickBooks Workforce:

  1. Go to https://accounts.intuit.com/index.html.
  2. Sign in using an email and password.
  3. Click on Edit on the user ID (change user id into something else other than the email).
  4. Go back to the invitation email.
  5. Click on the Get on access to paychecks tab.
  6. Create an account by entering the full email address and password.

Otherwise, contact our QuickBooks Workforce Support Team. They have the tools to add your company to the list of affected users.

You can visit this link to connect with one of our experts: https://static.onlinepayroll.intuit.com/Support/General_Support.html.

I've added an article about viewing your paychecksW-2s, and other info in Workforce for reference.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. If you have any other concerns, just let us know. We're here to help.
