I've got you covered, JMF2.

The ability to make changes in the paycheck depends on the status of the payroll you have run. If the status is not yet processed, you can delete the paychecks, change the date to the correct one and then, regenerate the payroll.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu and Employees.
  2. Click the Paycheck list link to open the submitted paycheck.
  3. On the Paycheck list page, click the amount under the Net Pay column to open the paycheck details.
  4. Click the Delete button from the Paycheck page.
  5. Put a check-mark in the I understand that this action cannot be undone checkbox, then hit Delete Paycheck.

For more information about editing payroll checks, visit this article: Edit a payroll paycheck.

Once deleted, you can now recreate the payroll with the correct information.

Otherwise, you'll need to contact our support to check on your submitted payroll and help you with the payroll correction.

. Here's how you can reach us:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern.
  4. Click Let’s talk.
  5. Choose Get a callback
  6. Type in your contact info.
  7. Select Confirm my call.

Should you need any further assistance, feel free to ask. I'll always be around to help in the Community. Wishing you the best of luck.

Help with pay roll

Payroll was submitted on 10/12, we got an alert saying that payroll will not be ran until Monday 10/16 because of Columbus day. My employees still have not received their paychecks, is there a reason this is happening?

Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community, userbill-roebelenI'm here to clarify when the paychecks are sent and its processing time in QuickBooks.

The employee's paycheck is received in accordance with your Direct Deposit lead time. It also depends on the payroll service you're utilizing and holidays in your state like Columbus Day. These are the possible reasons why employees have not received their paychecks yet.

You can open these articles below to see further details:

You may also view the direct deposit lead time on your end by going to the Direct Deposit section. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Choose Payroll settings.
  3. Scroll to the Direct Deposit section. You'll then see your funding time above your direct deposit limits.

Then, based on the information you received, your employees may receive their paychecks tomorrow, October 17, 2023.

In case employees still haven't received their paychecks by tomorrow, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team. They have secure access to your account and tools to check your payroll status and why your employees still haven't received their paychecks. This is to determine when your employees will be paid.

If you need steps on how you can run reports in QBO that you can use to view useful info about your business and employees, you can open this article: Run payroll reports.

I'd like to ensure you're taken care of, so please let me know in the comment below if you still have concern related to payroll. I’ll be around ready to back you up, userbill-roebelen.
