The total gross wage can be seen in the Payroll Summary by Employee report. In the first column of this record, you'll see the Gross Pay that means the gross wage, and it also includes the breakdown of each employee's total gross wages.
Then you can customize this report, and here's how to do it:
Well done! The detail you need is now easier to see. As you can see in my screenshot sample, Fischer, Duncan's Gross Pay total for this year is $2,000.

You can run the same report as suggested by Jovychris_A above to get the information you need. From there, set the date range to 2023 only, then select the employee's name you want to add by clicking on the Customize tab. For the details:
