How do I delete a direct deposit

Let me provide you some information about deleting direct deposit paychecks in QuickBooks, sabrinashahan9.

There are some things we need to consider before deleting the Direct Deposit (DD) paycheck. Among these are:

• Intuit can no longer stop the Direct Deposit once it is offloaded for ACH processing.

• Offload time for ACH processing of DD transaction takes place at exactly 5:00 p.m. Pacific time, 2 banking days before the paycheck date. 

• Voiding the paycheck in QuickBooks and sending that Void to Intuit after offload time will not stop the paycheck from posting it to your employee's bank account.

We need to void the DD paychecks before 5:00 p.m. Pacific time, and 2 banking days before the paycheck date. Just follow the steps and details in this article: Cancel a Direct Deposit paycheck. Then, go to Cancel or void the paycheck section. 

Once done, we can go back to the voided paychecks and delete them. Here's how:

1. Click Employees on the top menu.
2. Choose Employees Center.
3. Select the employee and open the voided paycheck.
4. Tick Edit on the top menu.
5. Select Delete Paycheck.
6. Tap OK to confirm.
