How do I delete incorrect paycheck data

Thank you for joining the QuickBooks Community, john-yazek. Depending on your payroll subscription, there are different steps to delete a paycheck. Please note that you cannot delete a paycheck once it has been processed or if it passes the pay date. Also, your tax liability will be updated after a check is deleted or voided. If you made a tax payment before, you would end up with an overpayment that will be applied to future tax liability in the current quarter. Here's how to delete paychecks for Intuit Online Payroll and Quickbooks Online Payroll:

 

Intuit Online Payroll

  1. Go to Home tab, under Related activities, choose View Paycheck List.
  2. Click the check you need to delete.
  3. Select Delete.
  4. If you export to QuickBooks, from the Bank Register, right-click on the check and select Delete Check.

 

Quickbooks Online Payroll

  1. Go to the Workers tab, then select Employees.
  2. Under Run Payroll, click the Paycheck list.
  3. Select the check you need to delete.
  4. Click Delete.
  5. Select Yes to confirm.

 

If you are not able to see the delete button, that means the deadline has passed, and you need to contact the Payroll Support team to assist you further. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Help on the top of the page.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Write your question.
  4. Choose the call back feature to connect with us.
