Thanks for your interest in the Auto Payroll feature, Golfer2016.
The Auto Payroll is a feature that allows you to process your payroll automatically without logging in to QuickBooks Online Payroll. Before turning on this one, let's make sure we meet the following criteria:
Then, follow the steps in this article to turn on the feature: Turn on and manage your Auto Payroll.
For employees' sick hours, we need to set them up manually in your account. Just check out this article for the detailed steps: Set up and track time off in payroll.

Thank you, but that didn't really answer my question. If I am on auto-payroll, do I need to do a manual payroll to debit the sick personal days bank? Because, auto payroll obviously doesn't know if the person took a day off or not.
Also, for exempt salaried employees, I organized it this way. Can you let me know if this is correct?
-I give my salaried employees 10 days off (personal, sick, or vacation). So for 10 days they get there normal paid salary.
-Quickbooks online payroll doesn't allow me to give a day for sick time. However, I can say how many hours a day the employee works. I put 8 hours/day.
-I then put 80 hours as sick pay as the maximum and I also put that for their balance.
Please let me know if I am doing this correct. I still don't see how I can debit the personal/sick days fromtheir sick day bank in the payroll system. Thanks!
I appreciate the complete details about your concern, @Golfer2016.
