How do I verify my company's bank account for paying direct deposits?

Quickbooks initiated a debit amount to verify bank account. It says the amount is less than $1, however, it is exactly $1 so I am unable to verify the account.

How do I verify my company's bank account for paying direct deposits?

You can check your direct deposit bank account from the payroll settings, @yulonda-designsb.

 

Let me walk you through the steps.

 

  1. Go to Gear.
  2. Choose Payroll Settings.
  3. Select Direct Deposit under the Payroll section.
  4. Verify your account under the Bank Account section (see the image below).

On the other hand, you'll want to follow these steps to re-trigger the test transactions. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Gear, then Payroll Settings.
  2. Under Payroll, choose Direct Deposit.
  3. Tap Yes! Let's get started.
  4. Select the Edit button next to the Bank Account field.
  5. Input the following number sequence into the bank account field: 123456789.
  6. Click Save and close.
  7. Immediately go back into your Payroll Settings from the Gear icon and select Direct Deposit.
  8. Tap the Edit button next to the Bank Account field.
  9. Re-enter the correct bank account number and save the changes.
  10. This should re-trigger QuickBooks Online to send the test transaction to your bank. Please wait another three business days for the transaction to appear in your bank account.

 

Also, you have three attempts to verify your test transaction. If you aren't successful, please contact our Payroll Support for assistance.

Unfortunately, it didn't help.  The problem is that QB instructed me to enter the exact "dummy" debit (should have been under $1), however, they debited $1, therefore it won't allow me to enter three numbers as this should have been .99 or under.

I like to share what I know about a test transaction for verification to help you resolve this issue.

 

A test verification for QuickBooks Online should be less than a dollar. On your end, the debit amount is a dollar. I'd recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Online support team.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Click Help (?).
  3. Select either tab to get started:
    • Assistant: click Ask a question.
  • Search: Search for an article with a QuickBooks Online knowledge base, or choose Contact Us and select either of the two:
      • Start a chat 
    • Get a callback
